Luncheon Tea with Louisa May Alcott at Concord’s Colonial Inn
Enjoy the elegant atmosphere of Concord’s oldest hotel in the company of Louisa May Alcott (as portrayed by Jan Turnquist, Executive Director of Orchard House – The Home of Little Women)! “Miss Alcott” will share stories from her unconventional upbringing, family friendships with Emerson, Thoreau, and the Hawthorne’s, the joys and challenges of being an author, her service as a Civil War nurse, and the family love that inspired her to write a true American classic. Geared for ages six to 106, this lively interactive presentation is a heartwarming and joyous experience. Little Women Orchard House Blend Tea (green tea and apple) will be served. Books and merchandise from the Museum Store at Orchard House as well as gift certificates for guided tours of the House will be available for purchase.
