Untold Stories: “Why They Marched” by Susan Ware
Thursday, November 7th, 7-8 p.m.
Concord Museum, 53 Cambridge Turnpike, Concord
Join us for a conversation between Susan Ware, Honorary Women’s Suffrage Historian at Radcliffe’s Schlesinger Library, and historian Ellen Fitzpatrick. For far too long, the history of how American women won the right to vote has been told as the tale of a few iconic leaders, all white and native-born. Susan uncovers a much broader and more diverse story of the many women who worked tirelessly in communities across the nation, out of the spotlight, protesting, petitioning, and insisting on their right to full citizenship. This program is cosponsored by the Concord Museum and the LWVCC. There will be a table with League information and voter registration materials. If you would like to help, please contact Julie at President@lwvcc.org.
