Back for our THIRD YEAR! Please join us for another wonderful “Walk in Their Shoes”, a community fundraiser to benefit disadvantaged South African schoolchildren. All welcome! Bring your friends and family and meet us at beautiful Great Brook Farm in Carlisle to walk 5K (approx one hour), a distance that children typically walk to and from school in rural South Africa, and often more.
Click the link below to sign up to walk/donate or sponsor a walker. Suggested minimum donation is $35. 100% of all proceeds go directly to Axium Education, an inspiring grassroots non-profit that has been raising student achievement with quality educational programming for 12 years in rural South African villages.
We will greet you with complimentary coffee and refreshments, and a short presentation about Axium…then we will hit the trails! More details upon registering. We hope to see you on April 30th!
This event is hosted by Ubuntu Global Connections, an MA 501(c)(3) non-profit established by Concord resident and Middlesex School math teacher, Amy Gleason, and a team of passionate Axium fans and Concord residents most of whom have personally visited South Africa and volunteered with Axium.
