Intermediate to Advanced Plein Air Painting

Capture the beauty of early spring in Concord while painting outdoors with master plein air painter, Caleb Stone. Colorful specimen trees, Walden Pond and the surrounding woodlands, sweeping marshes, peaceful riverside scenes, Sleepy Hollow and the charming downtown area offer many wonderful locations to paint. Caleb will guide you on how to choose your own autumn palette and how to develop a composition with good values and a strong design with contrast and color harmony.
Each class will begin with a demonstration, leaving plenty of time for painting and individual instruction. A constructive group critique will be offered at the beginning of each class.

Students will meet outside at Concord Art on the back patio/garden at 10am for a one-hour critic (37 Lexington Road, Concord, MA) and will move onto location for remainder of the class. In the case of inclement weather, Caleb will offer an on-site (in the building at Concord Art) or Zoom alternative.
