Fostering Resiliency in Our Children as They Face Childhood Transitions

May 22, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

As children face normal (and even unexpected) transitions in their lives, such as moving from preschool to Kindergarten or from elementary school to middle school … or even moving from one home to another, there are ways we as parents/grandparents can provide supports and reassurances that will assist the child to move forward in a smooth way. Building resiliency in the face of change can be possible if the child feels supported through regular routines and predictable, comforting outlets. Join us as we discuss what can be done to offer children stability in the midst of change. Share concerns and questions and come away with concrete ideas and strategies.

Presented by Rick Irving, MSW. Open to all interested adults, especially parents, grandparents and caregivers! This program is being offered free of charge but pre-registration helps CPT to better plan materials and prepare the space.
