Forest Bathing Woodland Walk

September 24, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 9:10 am

- Free

Love to Be outdoors? Boost your wellBeing with a mindful woodland walk in beautiful Concord, MA. BWBH’s Wellness Walks are based on the principles of Forest Bathing, or shinrin yoku, a Japanese practice of intentionally taking in the natural environment with all our senses.

Location: Annursnac Conservation Land trails in Concord, MA. Park at Bay Circuit Trailhead on Strawberry Hill Road (dirt road on left just after College Road).

Parking is limited, so you are encouraged to arrive early to find a space – or ride your bike if, like many Concord biking enthusiasts, you like the rush of pedaling up Strawberry Hill Road!

As Japanese doctor and researcher, Qing Li, writes in his book, Forest Bathing: How Trees Can Help You Find Health and Happiness, “spending time in a forest can reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and anger; strengthen the immune system; improve cardiovascular and metabolic health; and boost overall well-being” (Mind & Body, Aug 20, 2018). Mindful Wellness Walks also benefit the trees and our earth!

Forest Bathing Wellness Walk led by BWBH founder and lifelong friend of trees, Lara Wilson
