Nancy MacLean, Duke University Professor of History and Public Policy, and author of the new book “Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America” will speak on Friday, March 6th, at First Parish in Concord, 20 Lexington Road. Professor MacLean will discuss the writings of economists who view a society in which capitalism has free rein and the rights of the wealthy are protected, while the many are prevented from exercising countervailing power. This event, sponsored by the First Parish Reclaim Our Democracy Committee, is free and open to the public.
