Join Kevin Leong, Music Director of the Concord Chorus, on a guided listening tour of the classical symphony. This three-lecture series will explore prominent symphonies of Beethoven, Mozart, and Haydn to gain insight into their formal structure, including how composers chose to adhere to or break formal rules and how they employed these forms in their choral works.
The lectures will be presented across three Sundays — April 8, 15 & 22 — from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Newbury Court’s Morrison Theatre (100 Newbury Court Road) in Concord, Massachusetts.
Tickets for the entire series are $75 for general admission, $60 for seniors (65+), and $30 for students. Advanced registration is recommended due to limited seating. Visit www.concordchorus.org or call (978) 254-1551 to register.
The Concord Chorus will perform Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass” this spring on May 19.
