Concord Art is pleased to present a virtual artist talk by Lucy MacGillis from her home in Umbria, Italy!

Lucy will speak, accompanied by images, on the effect that Italy; the art, the people, the life, have had on her work in the twenty years she has lived there.

Lucy initially went to Umbria, Italy with a postgraduate grant to paint there from the University of Pennsylvania. She soon decided that she would remain. There was and is, so much to learn.

This event will be held via Zoom web conferencing. To attend, you will be given a link on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 just prior to the start of the presentation.. Bio: Lucy MacGillis has lived and painted in Italy since her graduation from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. She has studied with many wonderful artists such as Nick Carone, Lennart Anderson, William Bailey, Ying Li , Jake Berthot and John Lees. She shows her work internationally and teaches painting seminars in the United States, Italy, Austria and Germany.
