Today, Concord and Carlisle face new challenges as we strive to be welcoming, inclusive communities. Join this panel discussion sponsored by the League of Women Voters and Concord-Carlisle Adult Education (CCACE) focused on Housing: An understanding of the factors which influenced housing in these communities and how housing and land use has influenced social, economic and racial diversity in Concord-Carlisle. We anticipate that we will all come away with a better understanding of our own community’s history, and with recommendations for further study and action regarding DEI as our communities move forward.
Panelists:
Mr. Keith Bergman: Concord Municipal Affordable Housing Trust Chair
Professor Lily Geismer: Assoc. Professor of History, Claremont McKenna College
Ms. Elizabeth Rust: Director of the Regional Housing Services Office
Moderator: Mr. Grant Hightower, Dean of Students, Concord Academy
