Connect your children to music today! Join us at the Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) for a music, and movement celebration on Saturday, March 5, from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm. The free Carnival of Animals – Dalcroze Performance Day will introduce children to the world of music and movement using the lighthearted musical journey of movements by the French composer Camille Saint-Saens. The music for each movement represents a different animal, from the “hee-haw” of the violins to the “roar” of the pianos.
CCM’s youngest students from our Music Makers and Musical Gateway classes will perform for our community. Everyone is welcome to see how they embody music joyfully through creative movement, improvisation, and expression. In their movement-based music curriculum classes, they’ve been introduced to concepts like rhythm, melody, and harmony in a social and imaginative way. The students gain a strong music foundation which will undoubtedly inspire them for a lifetime of music education and enjoyment.
Introduce your young kids to music, complete with dancing and creative games, to foster social growth and development. Early childhood classes—Music Makers for 3-year-olds and Musical Gateway for 4- and 5-year-olds begin the process of connecting young kids to music. After witnessing kids their own age having so much fun with music and movement, your kids will want to start their musical journey too.
