The World’s a Stage Players return to in-person theater with their free outdoor abridged production of William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” on July 24, 25, 30, 31 and August 1st, on the lawn of the Concord Free Public Library. Performances will begin at 5 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, and on July 30 the performance will start at 7 PM and be located indoors at 51 Walden (please wear a mask.) “As You Like It” is one of Shakespeare’s comedies, and it is the story of cousins Rosalind and Celia, who flee persecution in the royal court for safety and freedom in the Forest of Arden. Along the way, they meet a series of interesting characters, more than a few of whom fall in love with one another. Directed by Nicholas Meunier, the play will be set in the years immediately following the end of WWI. A limited number of chairs will be available for outdoor performances; please feel free to bring your own as well as a picnic and come enjoy this free performance. We look forward to welcoming you to the Forest of Arden later this month.
