Awake, Rise, Act: Contemporary Broadsides
An exhibition of Fine Art prints made to resemble 18th century broadsides created for the semiquincentennial celebration of Concord Massachusetts. They are on view at the Wright Tavern, an historic building that played a role in the founding of the United States and the place where the Provincial Congress was planned. Nineteen artists created prints at Shepherd & Maudsleigh Studio in West Newton, a large space where artists and printmakers can create their work in a community environment. Just as in 1775, their messaging urges us to awaken, rise, and act.
Meet the artists and celebrate the Tavern on April 30th from 6-8pm
