Join Delia Kay, the Director of Concord’s Department of Natural Resources, for a walk at Barrett’s Mill Farm. Named for the Barrett family grist and sawmills, once located near where the parking lot is now on Barrett ’s Mill Road, the area includes an active farmstead, an archaeological site, the Col. James Barrett House of Revolutionary War fame, and an 18th century smallpox grave, all in open fields and hilly woodlands. The terrain is level, and the entire loop trail takes about 35 to 40 minutes at a moderate
pace. The meeting place is the parking area on Barrett’s Mill Road, kitty corner to Strawberry Hill Road. Please be at the meeting place by 9:50 AM. The walk will start right at 10:00 AM.
